All children develop at their own pace. For your child, this may look like decreased fine motor skills, decreased ability to regulate situations, anxiety with transitions, decreased gross motor skills.
Helping children be mindful of their body awareness, spatial awareness, and motor skills at home and in the community. Mindful Motion was created to teach children strategies that they can incorporate throughout their day to increase independence and reduce anxiety.
Why we are different...
Mindful Motion is privately owned and operated by Dr. Stacy Wilcox OTR/L.

My name is Stacy and my drive to make a difference is not new. For as long as I can remember I have always submerged myself into the practice of helping others. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology in 2005, and from there I went on to work with children in the water. Yes, the water is my second home. I was a swim coach, lifeguard trainer, and aquatics director to name a few. While in the pool I knew I could make a bigger impact in the world. I found Occupational Therapy and decided that was my calling. I graduated in 2008 from Springfield College with my Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and recently graduated from Bay Path University with my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy Advanced Practice. Throughout my OT years, I have worked in Birth to Three, Private Pediatric Clinics, Short Term Rehab, Acute Care, Aquatic Therapy, Mental Health, and Private and Public School settings all with a common goal to teach children and families to be the best version of themselves! I look forward to working with you and your family. - Stacy

One of my biggest passions has always been to work with children and make a difference in their lives. For the past 15 years I have provided care for children in various roles and settings. When I found Occupational therapy I knew that this is what I was supposed to do. I went on to earn my associates degree in Occupational Therapy from Manchester Community College in 2022. I have worked with children with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder. While I was studying at MCC I also fell in love with ergonomics. I became a certified ergonomic assessment specialist in 2022 and I am certified in ergonomics for children, healthcare workers, care givers, new time mothers and more. I believe in the importance of providing a holistic approach to care and I use the knowledge and skills I’ve learned over the years to do just that. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing games, reading, and going on long walks. I look forward to working with your family. - Stephanie
